A little about Dobir...

Dobir has been working in local government since 2001 in a number of roles but mainly in Community Safety.  He is currently working in a strategic role in Community Safety and Education for Manchester City Council since 2018.  Alongside this he is a Director of a very sucessful - Social Enterprise - CommuniTea CIC which he founded with 2 others in 2012 and as part of it operate a Community Hub and Cafe in Rochdale.

Dobir also sits on various charity bodies and public forums. He is currently a Trustee/Media & Safeguarding Lead for the Rochdale Council of Mosques (RCM) where he has previously served as the CEO for an interim period.  He setup and founded the Rochdale Bangladeshi Partnership Project (RBPP) in 2008 and a year later in 2009 he led the formation of the Rochdale & Sylhet Friendship Link (Rochdale has an official twinning link with Sylhet in Bangladesh).  

Dobir has been involved in youth & communty work for over 2 decades.  He is a very active, dynamic and charismatic young leader and entrepreneur, who dedicates his time for charities and local causes.

He can make connections at the very top on a strategic level as well as work with individuals and groups at a grassroot level, which is unique and really helps to deliver projects and initiatives.
