Rochdale Council of Mosques - Dobir is a trustee of this umbrella organisation which caters for the mosques in the borough of Rochdale, he has previsouly acted as it's Chief Operating Officer and currently supports the RCM as it's Media & Safeguarding lead.

Rochdale Bangladeshi Partnership Project was founded by Dobir in 2008 and in 2009 the Rochdale & Sylhet Friendship twinning link was established between Rochdale Borough Council and Sylhet City Corporation (Bangladesh).  He currently overseas the delivery & co-ordination the activities of the RBPP.
